The idea
NanoMission was a series of games that introduced children to nanotechnology, to encourage them to study it at university. It was made in partnership with the Wellcome Trust and FEI, with nanoscientists, artists and game designers.
The second module recreated the alveoli of a human lung. Players used nanomedicine and vesicles to carry drugs to cancerous areas.

Delivery
The game was built with C++, Virtools and C#. The programming covered the 3D engine and the game’s authoring tools.
NanoMission was well received. It was shown over several days in town centres across the UK Midlands.
