The idea

Metycoon let young people explore career options, and the transferable skills that each job needs. Players created a version of themselves and moved through time, making decisions along the way. Each decision brought rewards and opened up different paths and opportunities to explore. A well-known person from each career presented its opportunities, and explained what it is like to work in that field.

Delivery

Metycoon was an online multiplayer Flash game. It reached tens of thousands of players and was covered by newspapers and online journals around the world.

The game was shown at I/ITSEC 2010, where lead designer James Allsopp gave a short interview.
